Afghanistan, March 19 -- Nearly 600,000 Afghan refugees, both documented and undocumented, reside in Khorasan Razavi, Mashhad, Iran, with increasing pressure on their living conditions.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), at least 600,000 Afghan refugees, both documented and undocumented, are living in Khorasan Razavi. The report stated that 396,000 of these refugees hold valid residency documents, such as Asayesh cards, employment cards, passports, and other relevant documentation.

IRNA also reported on Tuesday, March 18, that at least 200,000 Afghan refugees without proper documentation currently reside in Khorasan Razavi. This number is expected to rise to around 300,000 in the near future.
