Afghanistan, May 8 -- The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of Afghanistan has announced that about four thousand Afghan migrants have been returned from the countries of Iran and Pakistan.

The ministry stated in a newsletter on Wednesday, May 8th, that these individuals have returned to Afghanistan over the past two days through the border crossings at Torkham, Spin Boldak, and Islam Qala.

According to the newsletter, 2,831 migrants from Iran and another 1,001 from Pakistan have entered the country "forcibly and voluntarily."

The ministry mentioned that 24 unaccompanied children were also among the returning migrants from Iran who have been referred to the National Immigration Agency for assistance and family identification.
