Afghanistan, Oct. 25 -- The National Directorate of Security (NDS) says security forces have killed Abu Mohsen al-Mesri, a senior member of the al-Qaeda network, during a special operation in Ghazni province.

A press statement released by the NDS said that, the security forces killed Abu Mohsin al-Mesri, a senior al-Qaeda commander assigned for the Indian subcontinent, during a special operation in Ghazni province last night.

Abu Muhsin al-Mesri is reportedly one of the most wanted individuals on the list of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Al-Qaeda have not yet commented over the death of their key operative.
