Afghanistan, Oct. 12 -- Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Foreign Minister of Taliban, speaking in New Delhi, urged India to reopen the Wagah border and announced soon-to-start Amritsar-Kabul flights to boost connectivity.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi with the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan's flag behind him, the interim Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqui urged India to reopen the Wagah border, which remains closed amid ongoing tensions. Wagah remained the lifeline of aid & good transport from India, via Pakistan.

Flights from Amritsar in Indian Province of Punjab to Afghanistan will be started soon, interim Muttaqi announced on Sunday.
