Afghanistan, Feb. 18 -- Pakistan's interior minister warned militant violence is escalating in border provinces, urging political unity as deadly attacks continue in sensitive frontier regions.

Speaking in Lahore, Pakistan's Interior Minitser, Mohsin Naqvi expressed concern over worsening unrest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying militant activity is increasing and incidents occur almost daily.

He praised provincial police efforts but said counterterrorism operations cannot succeed without stronger political backing and coordination between authorities.

Naqvi also described the security situation in Balochistan as troubling, warning that attempts to incite unrest through digital platforms undermine national stability.
