Officials in Pakistan said militants attacked a police vehicle patrolling Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, opening fire from a prearranged ambush.

Police reported that the exchange of gunfire lasted approximately 20 minutes, during which officers successfully defended themselves without suffering casualties.

Authorities said two militants were killed during the firefight, and their weapons and ammunition were seized and taken to a police facility.
