Afghanistan, Dec. 23 -- A media advocacy group has urged Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to intervene and protect Afghan journalists facing arrest, harassment, and forced deportation.
The exile media support organization Nai in Exile has urged Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to intervene directly to address the worsening situation of Afghanistan's journalists in Pakistan.
In a letter sent on Tuesday, the group called on Sharif to ensure that Afghan reporters, who face threats of arrest by Pakistani authorities, receive visas and guarantees of safety.
