Afghanistan, Nov. 21 -- Lebanon's army has arrested notorious drug trafficker Nouh Zaiter in a major eastern operation, dealing a rare blow to the country's entrenched criminal networks.

Lebanon's army on Thursday arrested Nouh Zaiter, one of the country's most infamous drug traffickers, in a security operation in eastern Lebanon, officials said. Zaiter, who has been sanctioned by both the United States and the European Union, had evaded authorities for years.
