Afghanistan, Feb. 24 -- The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Sergey Lavrov, the country's Foreign Minister, has met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
The ministry stated on Monday, February 24, that during this meeting, issues such as mediation in the Russia-Ukraine war, the transitional process in Syria, and the ceasefire in Gaza were discussed.
Previously, a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had reported that Mr. Lavrov would be discussing bilateral, regional, and international issues during this visit.
This meeting comes at a time when Russia-Turkey relations are being affected by regional developments, including the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East.
