Afghanistan, Dec. 2 -- The Kremlin praised recent U.S. diplomatic engagement while urging progress toward a new global order, ahead of President Putin's upcoming visit to India.
In the days leading up to Russian President Vladimir Putin's consequential two-day state visit to India, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters in New Delhi that US mediation to bring peace in Ukraine is proving effective, and his office hopes it will be fruitful.
"We appreciate the efforts of President Trump (of the US). We want to secure the future order," he said on Tuesday, joining virtually just hours before President Trump's envoy, Steve Witkoff, was set to visit Moscow.
