Afghanistan, Feb. 2 -- Iran's supreme leader warned regional war could erupt if tensions with the United States escalate, as military deployments heighten fears across region.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned on Sunday that any war triggered by rising tensions with the United States would spread across the region rather than remain limited.
Speaking in Tehran, Khamenei said Iran does not seek conflict but would respond forcefully to any attack, stressing that the Iranian people would resist external pressure.
He dismissed repeated US military threats, including deployments of naval forces, saying such actions would not intimidate Iran or influence public resolve.
