Afghanistan, Dec. 31 -- Kazakhstan has exported 260,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan, marking a significant increase in regional trade amid ongoing supply and border challenges.
Kazakhstan has significantly increased its wheat exports to Afghanistan, with shipments rising 36.8 percent from 190,000 tons to 260,000 tons between September and December 19, 2025. Officials say Afghanistan remains a key transit route for the country's grain exports.
Overall, Kazakhstan exported 3.9 million tons of grain during the period, up from 3.4 million tons the previous year. Exports to Uzbekistan also rose by 35 percent, while shipments to Kyrgyzstan more than doubled, reflecting strong regional demand.
