Afghanistan, March 17 -- On the eve of the new academic year in Afghanistan, former Afghan President Hamid Karzai once again called for reopening schools and universities for girls.

Karzai stated in a post on the X network on Sunday, March 17, "On the eve of the new school year, once again, I ask the Taliban government to open the doors of schools and universities to Afghan girls and provide better opportunities for education and advancement so that our country can be self-sufficient, independent, and a rival to its competitors."
