Afghanistan, Nov. 5 -- Kabul has rejected Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar's claim that Amir Khan Muttaqi made six phone calls to him amid rising diplomatic tensions.
The Taliban's foreign ministry dismissed Islamabad's assertion, saying only one official phone call took place between Amir Khan Muttaqi and Pakistan's Ishaq Dar.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the ministry said the conversation was held "within the framework of mutual understanding and coordination" between the two neighboring countries.
Kabul described the claim of six phone calls in one day as "far from reality," stressing that relations must be built on respect and factual engagement.
