Nearly five years after the Taliban seized power in Kabul, Noor Ahmed Noor, a senior official in Afghanistan's foreign ministry, has arrived in New Delhi to assume duties as charge d'affaires at the Afghanistan embassy, according to sources cited by The Hindu.
The report said Noor travelled to India following improving working ties between New Delhi and the Taliban authorities, though his appointment has not yet been formally announced by Afghanistan's foreign ministry.
