Afghanistan, Feb. 14 -- A federal judge has ordered the U.S. government under President Donald Trump to resume funding for hundreds of foreign aid contractors severely impacted by the 90-day suspension of aid.

Reuters reported on Friday, February 14, that this ruling prevents the Trump administration from canceling foreign aid contracts and agreements established prior to his inauguration on January 20.

U.S. District Judge Amir Ali, in a ruling filed in the District of Columbia court, stated that the stated goal of suspending all foreign aid was to review the effectiveness and alignment of these programs with government priorities.
