Afghanistan, May 17 -- Israeli air, ground, and sea assaults on Gaza since Thursday morning, May 15, have claimed at least 250 Palestinian lives.
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli military launched these attacks with the aim of "destroying Hamas military infrastructure." The areas targeted include the northern Gaza camp of Jabalia and the southern town of Khan Younis.
Reports from Gaza's Ministry of Health confirm that in the last 36 hours, airstrikes have killed 250 people, with hundreds more injured. Many of the casualties are women and children. In Khan Younis, an airstrike on a residential area killed 11 members of one family, including radio reporter Hassan Samour.
