Afghanistan, July 3 -- Israel says it is serious about a Gaza truce and hostage deal, aiming to begin indirect talks with support from the international community.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced on Wednesday, July 2, that Israel is serious about reaching an agreement with Hamas to end the Gaza war and secure the return of hostages. He made the remarks during a joint press conference following a meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

Sa'ar stated that Israel had responded positively to the latest proposals made by U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs, Steve Witkoff. "There are positive signs," he said. "I don't want to say more at this stage, but our aim is to begin indirect talks as soon as possible....
