In a recent interview, Ali Larijani, former director of Iran's National Security Council and a close advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, revealed that Israel attempted to target Khamenei during the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran. According to Larijani, Israel launched an attack on the National Security Council's meeting with the intention of eliminating Khamenei and other key figures, but their mission ultimately failed.
