Afghanistan, Sept. 13 -- Syria's interim leader Ahmad Shar'a accused Israel of dragging the country into conflict with Iran and attempting to divide its territory, insisting Syria's unity and Sweida's integrity remain intact.

Syria's interim leader Ahmad Shar'a has accused Israel of trying to drag the country into a wider conflict with Iran and divide its territory.

Shar'a, speaking on Friday, insisted that Syria remains indivisible and described the southern province of Sweida as an integral part of the nation.

He also criticised the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), arguing that the group does not represent all Kurdish communities and stressed that the interests of northeastern Syria are aligned with Damascus.
