Afghanistan, Jan. 8 -- Two clerics were attacked by unidentified gunmen in Baghlan province on Tuesday. The Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the assault.
Local sources in Baghlan province reported that armed assailants killed a pro-Taliban cleric and injured another in an attack on Tuesday night in Baghlan Markazi district. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the reports, on the night of January 7, unknown assailants killed Abdul Razzaq, the imam of a mosque and a religious teacher, and severely injured Hamdullah Mohammadi, the Imam of a mosque Baghlan Markazi district. Hamdullah's condition is reported to be critical.
