Afghanistan, April 26 -- The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has stated in its latest report that the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has reached its peak, with U.S. aid cuts halting vital services for millions in the country.
In a report released on Friday, April 25, the IRC highlighted that Afghan citizens, especially women and children, are more vulnerable to food insecurity, disease, and instability. Due to reduced funding, the IRC has been forced to halt some of its life-saving services, including healthcare, malnutrition treatment, vaccination, clean water access, and education.
