Afghanistan, Feb. 2 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated Sunday that regional countries are working to facilitate renewed nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States through diplomatic channels.

Araghchi told CNN that several countries are currently transmitting messages and attempting to prepare the groundwork for genuine and meaningful negotiations between the adversaries.

The Iranian foreign minister referenced President Trump's comments, saying "a fair and just deal that ensures Iran will not have nuclear weapons" is achievable and attainable even in the short term.
