Afghanistan, Jan. 22 -- Pakistan has announced that Iran's foreign minister is scheduled to visit the country next week, indicating efforts to mend diplomatic relations following a recent exchange of missile strikes between the two neighbors.

Both Pakistan and Iran have recalled their ambassadors, but they have been instructed to return to their respective posts by January 26, according to a statement from Pakistan's foreign ministry, as reported by Reuters.

Iran's foreign ministry confirmed the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian to Pakistan on Monday and the resumption of the Iranian ambassador's duties in Islamabad on Friday.
