Iranian police have arrested 43 undocumented Afghanistan migrants in the northern city of Tonekabon, in Mazandaran province, as part of an ongoing crackdown on irregular migration.
Bahador Dailami, the police commander of Tonekabon, said the arrests followed intelligence reports about the presence of "unauthorised foreign nationals" in the area. He said security and intelligence units identified and detained the migrants after receiving judicial approval.
