Afghanistan, June 28 -- Iran held a state funeral in Tehran for military commanders and nuclear scientists killed in Israeli strikes during the recent 12-day conflict.

A state funeral was held in Tehran on Saturday, June 28, for Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists who were killed during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel. The ceremony took place at Azadi Square with thousands in attendance.

According to Iranian media, at least 16 senior nuclear scientists and 10 top military officials were confirmed dead during the conflict. Their coffins were carried in a somber procession as crowds gathered to pay their respects to the "martyrs" of the war.
