Afghanistan, July 20 -- An Iranian official announced that undocumented Afghan migrants now have two more months to leave the country before facing fines or legal consequences for overstaying.
Ahmad Masoumi-Far, head of Iran's Foreign Ministry office in Khorasan Razavi province, announced that the deadline for undocumented Afghan migrants to leave Iran has been extended until September 5.
He warned that after this deadline, any Afghan national remaining in Iran without valid documentation will face fines for illegal residence, though specific details of the penalties have yet to be released.
