Afghanistan, Nov. 13 -- India's government confirmed that Monday's deadly car explosion near Delhi's historic Red Fort was a terror attack, killing eight and injuring twenty people.
India's government said the car blast that rocked central Delhi near the Red Fort on Monday was a terrorist act carried out by "anti-national forces."
At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured in the explosion, which occurred during rush hour near a metro station close to the historic site.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet held an emergency security meeting on Wednesday, calling the bombing a "cowardly and heinous act," and directed authorities to investigate swiftly.
