Afghanistan, July 25 -- India firmly opposed the expansion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor into Afghanistan, labeling the move unacceptable and citing sovereignty concerns over Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
India has strongly opposed the proposed expansion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into Afghanistan, calling the move "unacceptable" and a violation of its sovereignty.
Kriti Vardhan Singh, India's Minister of State for External Affairs, reiterated New Delhi's long-standing objection to CPEC, noting that parts of the project pass through Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh-territories India claims as its own but which are under Pakistan's control.
