Afghanistan, Aug. 3 -- India as a non-permanent member of the UN Security council assumed the presidency of the council for the month of August which has apparently concerned its biggest rival-Pakistan- over several issues including Afghanistan.

Observers believe that India will most probably raise the issue of Afghanistan in this month's UNSC meetings.

India is said to be set to organize three high-level meetings focusing on counter-terrorism, maritime, and the promotion of multilateralism.

Diplomatic observers expect India may raise the issue of Afghanistan and will also push its narrative of being a victim of terrorism and is said to mention the name of Pakistan.
