Afghanistan, Feb. 25 -- The New Zealand national cricket team reached the semifinals of the Champions Trophy by defeating Bangladesh. As a result, India also advanced to the top four, while Pakistan and Bangladesh were eliminated.
The match, held on Monday, February, 24, in Rawalpindi, saw Bangladesh bat first, scoring 236 runs in 50 overs after losing 9 wickets. In response, New Zealand chased the target successfully, losing five wickets in 46.1 overs to secure the win.
With this victory, New Zealand advanced to the semifinals, while India secured its spot in the next stage based on its points. On the other hand, Pakistan and Bangladesh were knocked out of the competition.
