Afghanistan, Dec. 3 -- Pakistan has launched a federal investigation after thousands of Pakistan IDs and passports were allegedly sold to Afghanistan nationals amid an ongoing deportation crackdown.
Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has revealed that Afghanistan nationals have obtained Pakistani identity cards and passports by paying large sums through illegal channels. Officials say the documents were issued with the help of corrupt personnel inside the national registration and immigration system.
