Afghanistan, Aug. 24 -- Hundreds of Afghan families live in Islamabad parks after eviction, facing hunger and illness, as Pakistan's deportation drive and uncertain asylum policies deepen their humanitarian crisis.

Hundreds of Afghan families who lived in Pakistan for years, many with valid registration documents, have been forced from their homes under pressure from landlords and government authorities. With few alternatives, they now live in makeshift shelters in Islamabad's public parks.
