Afghanistan, Feb. 17 -- International media reports have stated that at least 48 people have been killed as a result of the collapse of an illegal gold mine operating in western Mali.
According to reports from international media on Sunday, February 16, the incident occurred on Saturday near Kenieba, in the Kayes region of western Mali, where most of the victims were women, including one who was carrying her child on her back.
It is said that this abandoned mine was previously managed by a Chinese company, but it has now become a site for local miners' activities.
