Afghanistan, April 2 -- Annalena Baerbock, Germany's Foreign Minister, made an unexpected visit to Kyiv and announced that Germany would provide €8.25 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Baerbock said on Monday, during a press conference in Kyiv, "Europe must stand unconditionally by Ukraine. Putin pretends to want negotiations, but continues his aggressive war."

According to the German Foreign Minister, the military aid will continue until 2029, with an immediate contribution of €130 million provided to the Ukrainian government on Monday.

This decision comes as talks between the US and Russia have reached a deadlock, while Ukraine continues to call for military support from the West.
