Afghanistan, Feb. 15 -- German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has stated that the Afghan attacker who ran over pedestrians with a car in Munich should be punished and deported from Germany. He emphasized that the perpetrator should not expect any leniency from the German government.
"What has happened is awful," Scholz told reporters. "From my point of view it is quite clear, this attacker cannot count on any mercy, he must be punished and he must leave the country."
Scholz declared that if the incident is confirmed as an attack, all necessary measures to bring the responsible individuals to justice must be taken. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the attacker fully experiences the power of the rule of law in Germany.
