Afghanistan, March 9 -- On International Women's Day, the Freedom of Speech House called for support for female journalists in exile and those remaining in Afghanistan. In a statement issued on Saturday, March 8, the organization expressed its commitment to supporting female journalists who have faced significant challenges under the Taliban's rule.
The Freedom of Speech House further added that since the Taliban's return to power, 86% of female journalists have either lost their jobs or had their media activities severely restricted. The organization urged the global community to take concrete actions to support these women and amplify their voices in the face of mounting adversity.
