Afghanistan, Feb. 25 -- Pakistani media reported that four security personnel were killed in an attack by militants on a checkpoint in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, the attack took place on Monday, February 24, in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan.
The report indicated that intense fighting broke out between the militants and Pakistan's security forces, resulting in the deaths of four security personnel and injuries to two others.
Security officials reported that three militants were also killed during the clash. In recent months, armed attacks have increased across Pakistan, particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan regions.
