Afghanistan, Feb. 17 -- Pakistani counterterrorism forces killed four militants in an early morning raid in Karachi, seizing explosives and preventing planned attacks, officials said Tuesday.
Police in Pakistan said counterterrorism units launched the operation based on intelligence obtained from suspects detained during previous security investigations.
Officials said militants opened fire when security forces entered the targeted building, leading to an exchange of gunfire in which four armed suspects were killed.
Authorities confirmed two police officers were injured in the operation, while large quantities of weapons, grenades, explosives, and bomb-making materials were seized at the site.
