Afghanistan, Jan. 24 -- Five people, including the head of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's peace committee, were killed after a suicide bomber struck a wedding gathering in northwestern Pakistan on Friday.

A suicide attacker struck during a wedding celebration at the home of a peace committee member in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing five people and injuring 10 others, Pakistani media said.

The attack occurred on Friday night, January 23, in the Qureshi Mor area of Dera Ismail Khan district, where guests were attending the ceremony inside a private house.

Witnesses said attendees were dancing when the explosion ripped through the venue, causing the roof of the house to collapse and trapping several people under debris.
