Afghanistan, Dec. 29 -- Fazal-ur-Rehman, the president of Pakistan's Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has revealed plans to visit Afghanistan following the parliamentary elections in Pakistan on February 8th.

The leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party made this statement during a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, stating that the de facto Afghan administration has officially invited him to travel to Kabul for discussions regarding bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan-ruled Taliban.

He emphasized that Pakistan's foreign policy towards Afghanistan should be based on a mutually trusting relationship, and this trust should be maintained.
