Afghanistan, Feb. 28 -- A bomb blast in Pakistan's Balochistan province on Friday injured ten people, including a security official. According to Pakistani media outlets, the explosion occurred on a main road in Quetta, near a convoy of the paramilitary Frontier Corps.
The blast was caused by an IED (improvised explosive device) that appeared to be detonated by remote control, said Anwar Ali, the deputy superintendent of police in Gawalmandi, Dawn reported.
Initial investigations revealed that the IED contained around 2-3 kilograms of explosives. The explosion damaged five shops and a paramilitary vehicle on Jan Muhammad Road.
