Afghanistan, May 3 -- The explosion in Bandar Abbas was linked to mishandling of hazardous cargo, resulting in 70 deaths and over 1,300 injuries.

A recent explosion in Iran's Bandar Abbas, particularly in the area of the Shahid Rajaee Port, has drawn significant attention. Experts from The Washington Post have assessed that the force of the explosion was equivalent to about 50 tons of TNT, based on the shockwave and size of the resulting craters. The catastrophic event took place in the port's private area, where dangerous goods had been incorrectly declared.
