Afghanistan, April 17 -- The former chief of the Afghan intelligence Amrullah Saleh has announced that he will not participate in the upcoming intra-Afghan talks in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

"I remain grateful to president @ashrafghani for adding me in the list of speakers to represent the Islamic Republic of Afg in Doha conference. However, I won't attend. Taliban are the only & the biggest obstacle to peace as they continue the campaign of massacre & destruction," Saleh said in a statement which was posted in his official Twitter account.
