Afghanistan, Dec. 4 -- The European Union says women in Afghanistan face worsening poverty and shrinking livelihood opportunities, urging greater international support and stronger economic protection measures.
The European Union delegation in Afghanistan said on Thursday, Dec. 5, that Afghanistan's women continue to shoulder the highest burden of poverty as economic conditions worsen across the country.
Marking the global Orange the World campaign, the EU mission reiterated its commitment to supporting Afghanistan women, who it said remain excluded from stable employment and sustainable livelihoods due to ongoing restrictions.
