Afghanistan, Jan. 24 -- The European Union has pledged €20 million to support child nutrition in Afghanistan schools, aiming to improve health, education, and learning environments.

The EU Delegation in Afghanistan announced on Saturday, January 24, that the funds are designated specifically for school-based nutrition programs for children.

In addition, the EU has committed €25 million through UNICEF's Child Support Fund to ensure schools remain safe and supportive learning environments.

The funding will also support teachers, improve water sanitation services, and strengthen educational programs, addressing both health and learning needs across Afghanistan's schools.
