Afghanistan, Feb. 18 -- The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the interim government has announced that it has signed a contract worth over $1.056 million with the Danish Refugee Council.

On Monday, February 17, the ministry issued a statement confirming that the agreement was signed between Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rashid, the Deputy Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, and Dania Al-Sharif, a representative of the Danish Refugee Council.

According to the statement, under the agreement, financial aid will be distributed to 298,556 returnees and internally displaced persons in the provinces of Kabul, Kandahar, Parwan, Zabul, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Kapisa, Herat, Badghis, Farah, and Kunar.
