Afghanistan, Feb. 9 -- A deadly traffic accident in southern Mexico resulted in a passenger bus catching fire, leading to the deaths of 41 people, according to international media reports.

Reuters reported that the incident occurred on Saturday, February 8, in southern Mexico.

According to local officials, the bus, carrying 48 passengers, collided with a cargo truck. As a result, 38 passengers and two drivers lost their lives, including the cargo truck driver.

Images published by Reuters show that the bus was completely engulfed in flames after the collision, leaving only the charred remains of its metal frame.
