Afghanistan, July 26 -- Iranian authorities confirmed a terror attack caused at least 23 casualties, with several killed and many others injured, sparking heightened security measures nationwide.
Iranian media have reported that armed members of the Jaish al-Adl group attacked the courthouse building in Zahedan, located in the Sistan and Baluchestan province.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the terrorist assault left five people dead, including a mother and her one-year-old child, and injured thirteen others among the public and visitors.
During the confrontation, three gunmen wearing suicide vests were killed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ground forces, preventing further casualties and damage.
