Indian media have reported that at least 11 people lost their lives and 47 others were injured due to overcrowding and chaos among cricket fans in the city of Bengaluru.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, June 2, near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where thousands had gathered to celebrate the historic victory of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
